Electronic mind maps, future perceptions toward the teaching profession for university studentsAbstract
The current research aims to identify both electronic mind maps and future perceptions of the teaching profession among students, as well as to identify statistically significant differences in the correlational relationship. To achieve the research objectives, the researcher utilized specific tools to measure these variables: the electronic mind maps scale developed by (Roger \Sperry: 2018) and the future perceptions toward the teaching profession scale developed by (Al-Musawi: 2010). The standard psychometric properties of the two research tools were verified after applying them to a sample of students at the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Karbala (male and female), who were selected using the stratified random sampling method with equal distribution. In the light of the results yielded, the researcher concluded that the (research sample) possesses a sense of mastery in using electronic mind maps; furthermore, they exhibit a lack of orientation toward future perceptions of the teaching profession, and the correlational relationship is not statistically significant. Based on these conclusions, the researcher offered several recommendations and proposed what was deemed appropriate.
