The Effectiveness of an Educational Program Based on Learning with the Principles of participation in Open Thinking Students of the Faculties of Education for Human Science

Abstract

This research aims to:

1- build a programme based on learning on the principle of participation.

2- identify the effectiveness of the education programme according to learning on the principle of participation in open thinking.

The researcher conducts an experimental design for experimental and control groups. The subject of the study consists of 81 students (40 for experimental group and 41 for the control group). The method of data collection is open thinking test which consists of 30 items. To achieve the validity and the reliability of the test, it has been submitted to a group of administrators and expert users. Moreover, a pilot test is applied to group of students at Al-Qadisiya and Karbala Universities.

The researcher has found that:

1- students of the experimental group are better than students of the control group in open thinking.

The researcher suggests that it is necessary to provide classrooms that foster open thinking for students.
